We are Daniel Matthies and Daniela Omegna — partners in life, in family, and in food.

Gastronomy has always been at the center of who we are. It’s not just a profession; it’s a way of living, creating, and connecting. When we moved to Copenhagen, we felt a strong need to stay close to our roots — to the flavors, fire, and soul of Latin America, especially Patagonia.

That feeling became our first project: Patagonia Grill. A place where the grill speaks for itself, and where different South American flavors come together, shaped by fire, technique, and identity.

From there, SMOF was born. SMOF Aps is our company and our vision — a kitchen collective where different culinary concepts live under one roof. Each kitchen represents a region, a culture, and a way of understanding food, inspired by South America, Central America, and North America.

Patagonia Grill is the heart of our business. From that foundation, we continue to grow with new concepts like Sonora, our Mexican kitchen, inspired by bold flavors, fire, and the richness of Mexican cuisine.
